Blog Catalog is an excellent way to boost traffic to your site.

You can post a message in your shoutbox that is delivered to all of your followers.

And you can look for forums and chats about the same sort of blogs and catalog yours there.

People love comments, so go to one that will comment back on yours and visit it.

Hopefully they will like your content so much that they will come back for some more!

I always visit the URLS of the people that comment on my site, just to return the favour.

This weekend I decided to go out for a bit and have some fun.

I did some Christmas shopping at the flea markets and at the local mall.

I hope that you have started some of your christmas shopping?

I actually planned to do it after Dec 18th, because that's when all the great sales start.

Don't you just love it when the mall has midnight madness and there's a 75 % off sale on leather coats and clothing?

I just found out today that Kris Allen's album came out earlier this week.  I found some of his songs on youtube and posted them on Idea Girl Consulting Blog for all of you to enjoy.

New Music Releases Idea Girl Consulting Word Press

Pierre Lewis sent me his latest youtube video URL so I've posted a playlist of his information on my site.

His Producer is Aaron Accetta, but I wasn't able to find a picture of him.

I also did a feature on Chazz Reed, MC Jekyle hyde, and Who Nu.

I try to do a different artist each day, along with music videos, interviews and pictures so you know who I'm talking about.

Halloween Fun - Fashion - Treats - Music - Adam Lambert - Nicole Wins America's Top Model Shoot

Today I decided to concentrate on Halloween, Music, Treats and Costume ideas.  I figure were all going to a party this weekend and we'll need some cool ideas about what to wear.

I found some fashion videos of sexy costumes and posted them on my Idea Girl Consulting.

I almost wish that I knew more about Fashion Designs and stuff like that.

I think I got the Fashion Bug from watching America's Top Model?

Movie Reviews This Week - The Idea Girl Says - Idea Girl Consulting - Linda Randall

It's been awhile since I did a movie review, so I got ambitious and watched 4 movies within a 24 hour time period this week.

 I was a little late in posting them because I'm working on my Synopsis for my novel.

I didn't put all the names of the cast members down in my post because I didn't have time.  So I'm going to have to backtrack sooner or later and update the information, or just create a whole new post about it.

October has been a strange month for my blogs.  They reversed in traffic?

My daily blog is getting more hits than my Entertainment Blog?

I like it though!  That's exciting because it means someone is reading what I write, instead of just looking at my opinions on movies and music.

I somehow think that some of the traffic is because of Facebook.
You see I joined a couple of "book, author and publisher" groups on there and I'm thinking that MAYBE some of that traffic came from them?

I don't know how else to explain it? :)

I'm happy about it though, I hope my readers continue to grow and I learn to be funny, articulate and exciting to read.

I love watching American Idol and I voted for Adam Lambert to win.  I was shocked that Kris Allen won, and I was upset about it at first, but now I'm okay with it.  He's good too and Adam and Kris make the perfect couple! LOL

I love Ryan Seacrest's sexy voice and he's a hard working man, I love all his TV and Radio shows.

I'm wondering what ever possessed Miley Cyrus to leave her fans hanging with no Twitter Updates?

What's up with that?

Hope he isn't some kind of control freak, or she's going to have bigger problems down the road if they last that long.

Now according to tabloids the girl is fighting with Billy Ray Cyrus?

How can a relationship, hormones and teen years, screw up everything?

Music - Playlist - R&B, Hip Hop, Dance Mix, Punk Rock, Rock n Roll and More...

I had fun today making up a ton of music playlists for new releases to music playlists for R&B, Hip Hop, Rock n Roll, American Idol, Punk Rock, and Dance Mix Music.

I looked up all the new releases for October and posted them on Idea Girl Consulting Word Press.

Then I looked up the favorite groups and made seperate playlists for each one.

Some are 30 minutes long while others are and hour.

I like playing DJ, it's fun. :)

I did a few articles on Mariam and posted whatever thoughts I had about the case this week.

I spent a lot of time in meditation and relaxing for a bit.

Working day and night, you need a break every now and then.

I did some organizing in my office and in my home and now I'll be working on my books later on this week.
It should prove to be interesting as I start on The Calamity Girl Series - My chic lit writing. :)

Insomnia Busters - Youtube Music Videos

I've managed to post several videos to my blog on Idea Girl Consulting Wordpress and one in particular is about Michael Jackson a tribute song from Far East Movement and Wong Fu Productions.

I posted stuff about several groups.

It's crazy when I first start I think  it's all one group then I start reading the info on the videos and realized it was a production company that made a music video with a band. LOL

Tonight I've been suffering with 100 sneezes, so I couldn't blog much, it's calmed down now after half a box of kleenex.

I really need to dust my office. :)

No seriously, I've been sneezing all night.

I cleaned out my dusty closet and a corner of my bedroom.

And I'm allergic to dust.

Oh yeah, I look like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. :)

I can't believe that Christmas is like 3 months away and I haven't bought anything yet?

That's weird, usually I've purchased half of my Christmas list by now.

Oh well, we've been travelling locally to various fun theme parks and playing tourist.

It's been a fun packed summer.
I think by winter when it all stops I'll be suffering from severe boredom and itching to travel again.

I wish I could afford to go south for the winter.

That would be so cool!

Someday when I get my books published my first priority will be to take a sunny, warm vacation where theres water, beach and palm trees.

The 3 ingredients to happiness during the winter blues. :)

Getting Traffic For Your Blog - Michael Jackson - Omer Bhatti - Who Is Pia?

I went into Blog Catalog and did some searching for blogs, groups and directories to add my URL to.

I looked for sites like music, entertainment, Twilight and New Moon.

Then I posted my Vampire Picnic URL there, since it's gotten thousands of visitors in the past few months, I figure it would bring in some more once I promoted it.

It's weird that I have several posts that get thousands of hits each week, and others hardly any at all?

My biggest one was Omer Bhatti, he raked in 6000 hits in one day!

Over 50,000 in a week, it was crazy!

It was before his big news came out, I guessed who he was right from the beginning and posted it.

Still to this day, thousands of people want to check out the information I have on him, that no one else has.

I guess no one else has guessed what I have.

It's pure speculation but I give a good argument as to who the REAL MOTHER is for Michael Jackson's Prodigal Son - Omer Bhatti!

Get Website Traffic For Free

I've been surfing the internet looking for "Submit Url" for free.

Search Engines, Directories, Click Thru's, Link Referral are some of the site's that I've visited.

I find they do generate traffic for a few days then it drops back to normal!

I think it's best to write something really interesting and cool before you do this!

Try and stick to the topics that are listed in your website description and titles.

If Google see's that your the master of a certain topic, it will reach the front pages during a Google Search!

Also use a certain nickname on Facebook, Twitter, and all Social Networks.

I'm known as The Idea Girl or Idea Girl Consulting.

That way your fans can Google you and always find out what's going on!

I use Twitter, but I find that lately it's not posting my Word Press articles right away!

It can take a day or so, and I don't know if it's because I post late in the night as opposed to day time?

Not sure about that one!

I finally figured out how to add links to my Idea Girl Consulting Word Press site.

I assumed by publishing the comments from people that their Urls would show on the site, but it looks like you have to click on the comments cloud to see them!

Now I know how to exchange links, and I still haven't figured out what a back link is, I am assuming it means that I exchange a link to the other person's website and they do the same for me.

I think that is what a backlink is...
