It can be quite noisy up here when theres lots of traffic. Strange to the right are the trails that go from the Bruce Hiking Trails - Merritt Trailway, and 12 Mile Creek. A contrast of concrete and nature... You can follow the Westchester Ave bridge seen in front of us, walk up Glenridge Ave towards the Pen Centre. There's also a cool bar on Glenridge Ave that plays live bands. It's always busy and it's a favorite College Student hangout. They serve food there as well. (no pictures yet)

It is so weird to walk across this bridge. When I was a little girl this was all big hills and unused land. It was nick named Suicide Hill because it was so steep. We used to go there in the winter time and ride down this FAST hill on your toboggans. Problem was, some kids hit trees there and died. Ergo the nick name "suicide." I was so disappointed when they sold the land and built the 406 Highway... Lots of kids were. Our skating rink (pond) and big hill were gone.
I wonder where people go now to go

23 Ontario Street St. Catherines, ON L2R 5J3 by St Paul West
23 Ontario Street St. Catherines, ON L2R 5J3 used to house the sleep factory which I believe has gone into receivership in 2010 after operating here for about 40 years. A sign of the times. It is across the street from 1 St Paul - St Catharines Business Enterprise, and Westchester Ave Bridge and ST Paul West - Burgoyne Bridge is in this area.

See the street there on the left? Walk across the bridge and make a left on the first street then another left. This takes you to Rodman Hall of Arts - Brock University and if you follow the hill down to the 12 mile creek hiking trails and St Paul Crescent Bridge. There's another bridge that's parrallel to this for hiking, it takes you to the Bruce Merritt Trail underneath this bridge. There's several trails leading from here to the North and South of the city.
